DPT And BIU Meet, Have ‘Useful Discussions’
The Department of Public Transportation and BIU met yesterday [June 19] to discuss the current work to rule, and after “useful discussions, union leaders are expected to meet tonight with members of the Bus Operators & Allied Workers Division,” the Ministry said.
A Ministry of Transport & Regulatory Affairs spokesperson said, “The Department of Public Transportation and the Bermuda Industrial Union met yesterday to discuss the current ‘work to rule’ and Monday’s disruption of bus service.
“After useful discussions, union leaders are expected to meet tonight with members of the Bus Operators & Allied Workers Division. DPT management looks forward to hearing from the BIU after the meeting has ended. DPT apologises for the bus service disruption and inconvenience to the public.”

The UNION leaders are EXPECTED to meet TONIGHT with members of the bus operators etc. Key word tonight. meaning after hours not at a time to inconvenience the GENERAL public during the WORK day. Is this a paradine shift away from the normal disruptive actions of the past??? I only live in hope.

Useful discussions? I wonder what that means? Useful to who?
Did they have a dictionary with them I wonder? It would useful to understand and interpret the meaning of a word instead of simply having a work stoppage rather than bother to find out.
